Birthdays and parties are important celebrations for children. The first birthday is a particularly special one and a milestone for most parents - so you may want to organise a 1st birthday photoshoot to get some high quality, professional studio-style images.

Various props can be used in the shoot to make for some really creative (and cute!) pictures - see some of the example images and ideas below.

A cake smash photography shoot is also a fun way to mark your baby boy or girl’s birthday. Joyful pictures of your child smashing the cake make great images and give you some wonderful photos for the family album.

If you are having a party for your child or toddler, then it's good to know that someone is there to capture the fun and the candles being blown out whilst you are enjoying the occasion with your little ones. As a professional family and children’s photographer, I can be there at your child’s birthday to get great ‘in action’ shots - giving you one less thing to do on the day!
