What to expect on your photo shoot

I really want you to treasure the photographs that are taken on the day of your photo shoot.  I want you to look back at them in five, ten or twenty years time and they will still bring a smile to your face.  So, I really try to capture the character of any babies, children and families that I work with.  

 

The photo shoot will be very relaxed and fun.  I try to work at the pace of the children and sometimes they will need a break or a run around (this can also be a great opportunity to capture some unplanned shots too).  Babies often need feeding, changing or simply a cuddle.  My priority is getting some beautiful photographs.

If you have any particular requirements such as photos for baby announcement cards, family portraits for canvas images or family Christmas cards do let me know.  If there are any fun activities that you do as a family, then I will ask about these, because this is what makes your family so special.

Following your photo shoot I will then go back to edit the photos.  These will then be sent out to you after about two weeks.  You will also receive a link to your personal, protected photo gallery from where you can view all of your photos.  You will also have the ability to share this gallery with your friends and family should you wish.  Here you can also view and purchase a whole range of beautiful products from a selection of my favourite suppliers, whether that be prints, frames, albums or thank you cards.

 

Your Personalised Photo Session - At your home or chosen location*

For all photo shoots of: pregnancy / maternity, newborn babies, babies, toddlers, children and family groups -

 

Weekdays (Monday - Friday) - £335     

 

Weekends (Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays) - £445      

 

This cost includes: initial telephone/email consultation, the photography shoot (usually takes about 2 hours, allow a little longer for newborn sessions), approximately 30 high resolution, print-ready, colour and black & white digital photographs that will have been edited and touched up as required.  Access to a private, protected gallery for 3 months, which you can share with family and friends.  The images can then be used to make prints, framed pictures, photo albums or whatever you wish for your personal use (the copyright of the photographs remains with Balham Bumps & Babies).

If you wish to book a newborn baby photo shoot this should be done at least three months before your baby's due date to ensure that we can do the session within the first two weeks after your baby is born.

 

* Travel for photo shoots up to 30 minutes from Balham are included in the cost.  If you live further afield, then travel costs may be charged as extra.

 

Bump and Baby

 

Pregnancy is a special time.  There is nothing quite like that feeling when you are carrying a child and the curiosity and excitement of meeting your newborn baby.  Balham Bumps & Babies has created a special package to capture these two wonderful times, allowing for two photo shoots - one during your pregnancy and one newborn baby photography session (ideally in the first two weeks):

 

Two weekday photo sessions (Monday - Friday) - £610        

 

This cost includes: initial telephone/email consultation, two photography shoots (usually takes about 2 hours, allow a little longer for newborn sessions), approximately 30 high resolution, print-ready, colour and black & white digital photographs that will have been edited will have been edited and touched up as required.  Access to a private, protected gallery for 3 months, which you can share with family and friends.  The images can then be used to make prints, canvases, photo albums or whatever you wish for your personal use (the copyright of the photographs remains with Balham Bumps & Babies).

Capturing the First Two Years

 

There are so many wonderful milestones that children go through in the first couple of years and it is great to capture these different key stages.  I would suggest three sessions during those first two years:

 

Three photo sessions (weekdays) throughout the first two years (Monday - Friday) - £890
