Three Week Old Baby Girl Photo Shoot- Tooting
Many clients ask me when the best time to photograph newborn babies generally is and I usually reply "within the first two weeks when babies are generally more sleepy". This newborn baby girl was already over three weeks old when I came to do her photo shoot. I would certainly usually try to avoid this time, as babies are often more awake and alert, as a result they can be more settled. But, every baby is different and this baby girl was amazing!
As she was already three weeks old I decided straight away that we would go with swaddles, as this would hopefully keep her calm even if she was to be awake. We began with some photos that use digital backgrounds.
We could also grab some close up details as she was so calm.
We then got a beautiful set of photos of her lying on a lacy blanket with a delicate, floral headband.
A little nervously, I unswaddled her for these next photos of her lying on a chunky, wool blanket, but she was totally relaxed and went straight back to sleep.
