Newborn Baby Photography Session - Greenwich
It was a beautifully hot, sunny day when I went back to Anne and Ian's home in Greenwich. I had done a pregnancy photography session with them a few weeks earlier and was looking forward to meeting their new little baby boy, Bruce.
As on the previous photo shoot, everything was calm in the house when I arrived... even with their new arrival. Bruce had just been fed and in the comfort of his mummy's arms he fell to sleep quickly.
After a few mummy and baby photos, Anne transferred him to lying on the bed, where he happily continued in the land of nod and didn't mind being moved around as I tucked his legs in. We got a variety of full length, headshot and close up details as Bruce lay sound asleep. Anne also wanted to get a photo of her wedding and engagement rings on his toes, the weight of the rings did wake him, but a top up of milk and he was back to sleep.
It seemed that little would disturb him as we changed background blankets, outfits and got a few family portrait photos, as well as the second part to a pre and post baby photo that we had started at the bump photo session. A whole range of photos with both mummy and daddy and Bruce was still in deep sleep!
It was then time to wake the little fella up as we really wanted to get some photos with his eyes open - so a quick nappy change was done, before a final lot of photos of baby Bruce.
