Newborn Baby & Family Photography Session - Earls Court
I came to the home of this family in Earls Court, where the whole family was excited about the new arrival. The little baby girl's grandma and aunt (seen all together above) had come over from Parkistan to help out.
I arrived as their little girl was being given a feed. She was just one week old and it had been important to the mother that the newborn photography session was done at this stage, as, in Muslim tradition, her hair was to be cut off the next day, so she wanted the photos done before this was to happen.
We started the session getting some natural photographs of her being held by her parents, getting some close up details of her feet and head shots.
The sun was shining outside, so everyone got ready to head out to the private communal garden. This was a perfect location for some more formal family photographs.
We then went back into their home to get some more photos of their little baby (still yet to be named at the time). We set up a basket with a beautiful floral chiffon material to get a wide selection of photos, including a few more close up details.
They also had a purple, faux fur blanket they wanted to use in one of the photos, so we swaddled their little girl in a matching purple wrap and added a pretty, flower headband.
A few photos with mummy and daddy and the session came to an end.
