Maternity Photography Shoot - Greenwich
I met Kat and Michael round the corner from their work offices to have a cup of coffee and discuss the kinds of photographs that they would be hoping to get from their Bump & Baby Photography Package.
On the morning of the maternity photography session we met in Greenwich Park. The air was still chilly on this bright and sunny autumn morning. We were certainly not the first in the park as several people were shuffling around the trees searching for sweet chestnuts to fill their carrier bags with. Nonetheless, we got on with what we needed to do. The fabulous gnarly, old sweet chestnut trees are great for photographs and Kat looked stunning in her blue dress (OK you can't see her blue dress in this photo, as it's black & white, but to see this photo in colour see here).
We took a number of photos of Kat (with her bump) by this tree and the morning light played around the leaves in the background. Michael joined Kat to get some couples photos too before we moved onto one of the nearby paths to get a photo that they were keen to get. Kat had brought along a little pair of suede, brown shoes to get a fun 'feet' shot (once again the colour version is here).
We then wandered up to the rose garden, stopping at a little archway for a photo of Kat and Michael.
We then made our way to some steps to get more photos of Kat by herself and also holding a little frame with a blackboard - Baby's Due Date!
The sun was beautiful and really made the tall grasses glow - a perfect environment for a maternity photo!
One last photo with The Queen's House and City of London in the background and we then headed over to Kat and Michael's home nearby.
Kat had been keen to get some photos of the nursery ready for its new arrival. I then set up a black background to get a number of different photos, including a few with a football (Michael, like any dad-to-be is looking forward to kicking a ball around with his son in years to come!).
They had also bought a teeney pair of football boots for their little boy when he arrives. We also got a beautiful photo of Kat with her and then another of both Kat and Michael.
A few fun photos of various name options (both Polish and English ones) that were under consideration.
We got a range of photos after this in their bedroom with the blind in the background creating silhouetter effects - oh and another football shot!
Some photos of Kat and the pair of them lying on the bed and it was time to finish the photo shoot.
I can't wait to meet their little boy for the newborn baby photography session in a few weeks time.
