Holiday Snaps In Florence, Italy

Florence Panorama

Admittedly I am running very much behind on my blog recently. Schools are now back, my daughter is back to her routine and I will finally catch up on everything that I have fallen behind on.

So before I crack on with my usual blog posts with the babies and children I have been photographing, here are some photos of one of Europe's most beautiful cities, where we were lucky enough to go for a wedding and I was able to capture this incredible view from the venue as the sun was setting.

By day or night the Duomo of Florence is such a striking feature of this skyline - and if you're taking your young children to Florence I really recommend the lovely book "Pippo the Fool" by Tracey E Fern, which tells the delightful story about Filippo Brunelleschi, who designed this architectural wonder.

We were only in Florence for a few days, but we managed to pack in a lot and my six year old loved getting her camera out and capturing the sights of this city and its museums.

Everywhere you look there are great works of art to absorb and enjoy.
