WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Pregnancy is one of the most profound and fleeting experiences of a lifetime. A maternity photo shoot is a chance to celebrate your changing body and the incredible new life you're bringing into the world. I shoot both outdoors — taking advantage of South London's beautiful parks such as Dulwich Park, Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common — and in the comfort of your own home, for a more intimate, personal feel. Sessions are typically booked between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Those first days and weeks with your newborn are magical — and gone in a blink. My newborn photography sessions are conducted in your own home, creating a relaxed environment where your baby (and you) feel completely comfortable. With gentle expertise to guide your baby into those adorable classic newborn poses, and has a talent for working with babies at a range of ages — not just the very earliest days. Most families book their newborn session while still pregnant, so get in touch as early as you can.

Q: Where are you based, and which areas of London do you cover?
A: We are based in Balham, South West London (SW12), and regularly photograph families across London, especially South and South West London, including Clapham, Tooting, Wandsworth, Streatham, Dulwich, Brixton, Herne Hill, Wimbledon, Putney and Battersea. We are happy to discuss sessions further afield — just ask.
Q: Do you shoot in a studio or on location?
A: Both! For newborn sessions, we come to your home, which creates a relaxed and comfortable environment for your baby. For older babies, toddlers, children and families, we can shoot at home, in your garden, or at one of South London's many beautiful outdoor locations. We'll find the right setting for your family.
Q: When should I book a newborn photography session?
A: We recommend booking while you are still pregnant — ideally by week 30–32. Newborn sessions are most commonly done in the first two to four weeks after birth, but Juliet is experienced at working with babies who are a little older too, so don't worry if you've not booked yet.
Q: What if my child doesn't want to cooperate on the day?
A: This is completely normal and nothing to worry about! Juliet's relaxed, patient approach means she works at your child's pace. There's no pressure to perform, and often the most wonderful images come from the unscripted, in-between moments. She is also a neurodiversity-friendly photographer and is experienced working with children who may find traditional photo shoots challenging.
