Christening Photo Shoot - Mayfair, London
I had photographed this baby when he was a newborn earlier in the year. The christening had been planned for earlier this year, but the Covid lockdown had prevented that, after some juggling around and fewer guests able to come, the baptism was able to take place this autumn with social distancing and various measures in place. It was actually the first christening the vicar had done since the March lockdown.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, London.
Only the baby, parents, godparents and the vicar were around the font. With a balcony above, I found a good place to take photos of the ceremony, where I could see best everything that was going on. The grandparents were also allowed to watch from this area.
The baby boy was an absolute star during the christening, entertaining us all and interacting with everything going on.
After the ceremony, we headed out to the back to Mount Street Gardens for some more formal portraits with the godparents and family.
Finally I very briefly attended the location where they were to have lunch to grab a last few photos.
